I found myself in a New York state of mind today, and naturally photographs are an excellent way for me to revisit a place, if only in my imagination. I can feel the setting sun and the breeze when I put myself back into this photo, a southward view from the 86th-floor observation deck of the Empire State Building in Manhattan.
Technical: Canon 7D with Tokina ATX 11-16mm f/2.8 @ 11mm and f/2.8, ISO 200. 3-exposure HDR image, processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro and Adobe Lightroom.
I’ve always believed that the mark of a successful travel photo is that it makes the viewer want to visit that spot. One Shot posts are meant for that purpose: to share a single photo that I think captures a location nicely, and is worth lingering over for a moment. I hope you agree!
