Where the land ends, the sea begins. That’s true in plenty of places, of course, but here and there mankind has extended the land out into the sea, which can make for some great views! This is a fresh edit of a shot I took a few years ago, looking out to see down the Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Beautiful spot, especially if you can also catch a dramatic sky!
Technical: Canon 7D with Tokina ATX 11-16mm f/2.8 @ 11mm and f/5.6, ISO 200. 3-exposure HDR image, processed with Aurora HDR 2018 and Adobe Lightroom.
I’ve always believed that the mark of a successful travel photo is that it makes the viewer want to visit that spot. One Shot posts are meant for that purpose: to share a single photo that I think captures a location nicely, and is worth lingering over for a moment. I hope you agree!
